I recorded this video as a side project for a class on Geographical Information Systems and historical geography at Columbia University.

Below is a comment I received on the video from a long-time viewer:

“hey man hope youre doing well. seeing as you havent been active on this channel in 10 months, i hope youre just doing so well in your studies that you havent had any time left to play eu4! just wanted to say ever since i discovered your isolationism video some four years ago, that academic way of looking at eu4 has really stuck with me and now as I am in my sophomore year of college, i am seriously considering going into a field like geography where i can make a living out of my personal passion for mapping and the outdoors.
anyway, part of me wishes you would upload/stream more because it’s hard realizing one of your favorite creators has grown out of youtube, but i understand it man. thatll probably will be me in a few years. hope you still get a chance to make an academic eu4 video every once and a while tho πŸ™‚ be well bro”
